3. Security and Compliance Updates

New security features include Advanced Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities, which now extend to chat and channel messages. This ensures sensitive information is protected across all communication channels within Teams.

Audit Log Enhancements provide more granular tracking of user activity, supporting better incident response.

4. User Interface and Customisation Enhancements

The new UI Refresh offers a modern look, with updated icons and simplified menus. Personalisation options have been expanded to allow custom backgrounds and theme settings tailored to individual preferences.

Quick Actions enable users to perform common tasks like muting/unmuting or raising hands with a single click.

5. Teams Phone and Calling Features

Updates to Teams Phone include Shared Line Appearance, which allows teams to manage multiple calls on a single number, ideal for reception and support staff.

Dynamic Emergency Calling has been expanded to more regions, ensuring emergency call routing adapts based on user location, crucial for hybrid work environments.

6. Device Management and Deployment

Remote Provisioning and Management now supports additional device types, making it easier to deploy and configure devices remotely, reducing the need for on-site technical support.

The ability to push Firmware Updates to Teams-certified devices ensures they remain secure without requiring manual intervention.

7. Microsoft Teams Rooms and Shared Spaces

Enhancements to Microsoft Teams Rooms include new camera controls and AI-powered features like the Intelligent Camera, which offers auto-framing and speaker tracking.

Support for Multi-Camera Rooms allows larger spaces to be covered comprehensively, ensuring every participant is seen and heard clearly.

8. Accessibility and Inclusivity Enhancements

New Live Captioning capabilities now support additional languages, and Sign Language View has been enhanced to make meetings more inclusive for deaf or hard-of-hearing participants.

The Accessibility Checker is now integrated into chat and document-sharing workflows, ensuring content meets accessibility standards.
