An Infrastructure Upgrade

Bray Leino was looking to upgrade their communications infrastructure to ensure that their telephony was fully supported.

There was no backup or resilience in place if the legacy phone system went down, which was an unacceptable position for the business to be in.

The Solution

Marlin helped support Bray Leino with a unified communications system from ShoreTel.

The system was deployed at the three main sites, with N+1 resilience and a virtualised system, all on a VMWare environment.

A collaboration server for audio conferencing and desktop sharing was also deployed to support reliable communication during Bray Leino's pitching process.

The Results

With only one portal, the whole system is so much more manageable. The replacement of ISDN lines to SIP trunks also means a massive cost-saving, as well as a huge saving on international roaming with ShoreTel mobility.

With no limit on numbers from the exchange, Bray Leino was able to have more telephone numbers to generate more inbound enquiries.

The local network is very fast and the system is fully supported and maintained by Marlin. The nature of the UC platform means that it is modular and upgradeable for future development as the business expands.
